Soothe your nervous system with yoga and music.

“Rest is what happens when everything else stops.” – James Reeves, Irene’s Yoga Nidra teacher and author of The Book of Rest

Give yourself the gift of rest – your own mini-retreat to recharge your batteries. This afternoon is for anyone who feels overstimulated, depleted, or in need of a quiet, slow afternoon.

“Everyone is exhausted. Restorative Yoga gives us the natural rhythm of rest that our culture has forgotten. When we stop doing and allow being, the nervous system remembers how to heal.” – Judith Hanson Lasater, developer of Restorative Yoga

A unique combination of Restorative Yoga and Yoga Nidra with live flute music, in a slow, spacious afternoon built around settling the nervous system and making room for deep rest.

Throughout the practice, professional musician and neuroscientist Juani plays the flute live. The music is not background – it is shaped around the breath, the pauses, and the mood of the room. A live instrument breathes with the room. For many people, this is what finally allows them to drop into deeper rest.

About Irene Lähde & Juani Justicia García

Both Juani and Irene share a deep interest in the nervous system, the power of restorative yoga, and somatic movement. They met at a Somatic Hatha training programme.

Irene (they/them) is trained in Pranayama, Restorative Yoga, Yoga Nidra, Chair Yoga, Prenatal, Postnatal and Pelvic Floor Health, and Somatic Hatha. Irene started practising yoga more than 20 years ago. Irene’s classes are all about mindful movement, deep inquiry into one’s own experience, and exploration of the breath. A background in psychology and personal experience with chronic pain and injuries have led to a profound interest in accessible, trauma-informed, and inclusive yoga.

Juani is a professional freelance flute player who discovered the world of yoga four years ago. Since then, she has trained in Somatic Hatha and Restorative Yoga, while continuing her education through ongoing studies and practice. With a second Master’s degree in the Neuroscience of Music, Juani researched the benefits of yoga in reducing cognitive fatigue, as well as the role of music in calming the mind during restorative practices. Her approach combines movement, breath, and sound to create deeply nourishing and grounding experiences.
