I use principles of CBT, ACT, breathwork, yoga, and mindfulness. The work will be based on our active collaboration and your own values.

If any of the following statements apply to you, unfortunately my sessions won’t be the right treatment for you. I recommend you contact your GP.

  • Frequent suicidal thoughts
  • Frequent thoughts of self-harm
  • Frequent thoughts of harming others
  • You are in an abusive relationship either at home or work
  • Use drugs/alcohol frequently as a coping mechanism
  • You are pregnant or just had a baby
  • You are under 18 years old

I must adhere to the principles of respect, competence, responsibility and integrity (code of conduct of both NIP and BPS)

frequently asked questions

The content of our sessions is confidential to you (the client) and to me (the practitioner). The only occasions where it could be necessary to break confidentiality would be if I believe you are in danger of seriously harming yourself or someone else.

Everyone is different! I recommend an initial minimum of 4 sessions to allow our work to evolve. After that it is easier for you to make an informed decision about whether or not you wish to continue. If you continue beyond the first four sessions the period over which we work becomes open ended until we end by agreement.

I don’t have a contract with any insurance company. Therefore, you don’t need a referral from your GP (general practitioner/ huisarts), but unfortunately it means you cannot be reimbursed.

I am a Holistic Wellbeing Practitioner. As such, I do not offer traditional psychoanalysis or psychotherapy. I may use relaxation, meditation, and breathwork as therapeutic tools. However, the choice is yours whether you wish to use any body-work techniques. If you do choose to use these tools, I recommend wearing comfortable clothing in our sessions. I use principles of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and mindfulness.

I ask you to give 24 hours’ notice of non-attendance. In those circumstances there will be no charge for the missed session.

I will have to charge 50% of the cost of the session.

If you practise the skills we learn throughout our sessions in your own time as well.

The first session takes place online and is free, after which you can decide whether you wish to have further sessions (either face-to-face or online). We will discuss your goals, expectations and problems, and whether I can offer you a suitable intervention. If you do decide to have more sessions, you will have to sign a therapeutic agreement contract.

Because of the cost of booking a room, face-to-face sessions are more expensive than online sessions.

I will provide an invoice and you can pay by bank transfer, cash, or mobile app (e.g. Tikkie). I will always provide a receipt.

Yes, but only after an online and a face-to-face meeting.
